Gypsy Horizon Belly Dance
started in February 2008 under the direction
of Carrie Moore. All members were students and performers of other dance styles before taking classes with Carrie. Kate, Marla, & Fauna were a part of the original creation of the troupe and soon after joined Shawna & Amy.
Gypsy Horizon is dedicated to presenting pure American Tribal Style Belly Dance.
ATS relies on a movement vocabulary infused with non-verbal “cues†that empower a group of dancers to improvise together while giving the appearance of a choreographed dance piece. The dancers weave
their story spontaneously as they interact and communicate with each other and their audience making every performance fresh and exciting*.
